What is it?
<a href=“https://lkctools.com/renderblocks” target=“_blank”
rel=“noopener noreferrer”>LKC Render Blocks is a REAPER script
designed to improve your project organization, clarity, and give you
render simplicity. It’s a result of five years of development. It
strives to be the simplest and yet most powerful game audio workflow
solution available. Blocks are special audio containers that are
visually and logically autonomous and independent from each other. This
allows great flexibility and saves you time.
Why another tool?
Over the last decade, REAPER has been gaining popularity among game
audio professionals. One of the main reasons is its Render Matrix. As
much as the rendering capabilities of REAPER are superior to other daws,
I have always believed that things could be improved even further. As a
sound designer, you sometimes want to have simplicity and speed, rather
than complexity, and sometimes more power. This tool is our attempt to
achieve this goal, and I can promise you, it’s only the first step!
Who is it for?
It is designed specifically with game audio workflow in mind, but you
may find it useful for many other things such as SFX or sample pack
library creation.
What can you do with it?
PACK
Organize your project in an easy and transparent way by packing desired
audio and/or MIDI items into a special kind of container.
NAME
Give your blocks a special name using multiple naming conventions.
Create arrays and notes without hassle.
EXPORT
Exporting your audio assets is now as easy as saving your project.
Forget about repetitive and tedious render settings. Everything is
automated, and you just need to select the files.
ITERATE
Not satisfied? Use
<a href=“https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LIWxbkcT25s” target=“_blank”
rel=“noopener noreferrer”>ReaOpen to focus on your blocks. Unpack,
edit, add, or delete content. When you are done, just repack your blocks
again.
